Cleaning Instructions

Wash clothes that were worn by the individual within the past 48 hours and place in the dryer for 30 minutes

Place bedding (sheets, pillowcases, blankets) in the dryer (hot setting) for 30 minutes

vacuum floors, carpets, upholstery, car seats

If you cannot vacuum sofas, and upholstered furniture, simply cover them with a bed sheet for 48 hours

Machine wash stuffed animals and place in dryer on a hot setting. If it is not possible, than put them away for 48 hours​

Heat kills lice and their eggs.

Without a human host the lice will die within 24 hours.

Once lice crawl off of a human host, they are doomed. They become weak and unable to reattach to the hair. They need a blood meal and the warmth of the scalp to survive.
